Cop out

This a predictable Kevin Smith (Clerks, Zack and Miri Make a Porno) affair, punctuated by bawdy dialogue and male bonding. The plot concerns two incompetent NYPD cops: Jimmy (Bruce Willis) and Paul (Tracy Morgan). Jimmy finds himself in a bind when his daughter Ava (Michelle Trachtenberg) decides she wants an expensive wedding. So in order to pay for it, he’s got to sell his cherished Andy Pafko baseball card. He’s in the midst of pawning it but a guy named Dave (Seann William Scott) robs the shop owner and steals the card. It’s all rather confusing and convoluted, especially for something that’s just your basic meat-and-potatoes cop caper.
