Anyone who’s seen Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in concert can attest to its aural and visual assault that’s just as moody as it is uplifting. The audio installment of a recent tour across Glasgow, Dublin and Berlin proves the former aspect thanks to distortion-laced tracks like “Weapon of Choice” and “Six Barrel Shotgun.”

All the while, the DVD edition encompass plenty of attitude, accompanied by brooding theatrics and intentionally brisk camera angle rotations. An additional segment of behind the scenes features is a nice bonus for die-hard fans, but studio sessions and extra live tracks aren’t as compelling in this cut and paste format, especially when compared to the main concert’s continuity (even in spite of the city switches).
